FORCE.com

There's a new game in town. It's called FORCE.com from our friends at Salesforce.com. FORCE.com allows Doextra Corporation to create CRM or non-CRM related applications and make them available on an "on demand" basis for a monthly subscription fee. If anyone has an application they would like built and made available without the hassle of managing an IT infrastructure, please let me know. We'd love to bring your application ideas to market!

"DoExtra" or "DXtra"?

Is it pronounced “DoExtra” or “DXtra”? That’s probably the most common question I hear when greeting customers and prospects. Truth be told, Sunnie Richer, founder of DoExtra Corporation was thinking of the word dexterous when she named the company back in 1997.

dex·ter·ous
–adjective

1. skillful or adroit in the use of the hands or body.

2. having mental adroitness or skill; clever.

3. done with skill or adroitness.

Also, dextrous.

As a result, “DXtra” became the common pronunciation both internally and externally. However, we’ve recently rebranded the company as “DoExtra Corporation” with a new logo and an emphasis on the phrase “Do Extra” rather than the word “DXtra”. We believe this more accurately reflects our philosophy as a company and our dedication to our customer’s success.

But I’m still looking for a good tagline. I’d love your suggestions…
